Meizu schedules an event on June 13, Meizu M2 Metal expected

Meizu is one of the fastest growing smartphone manufacturers in China, which makes its smartphone that look similar to Apple’s iPhones. The company has already announced three new smartphones this year; the Meizu Pro 5, Meizu m3 note and Pro 5 Ubuntu Edition.

A new Meizu device was certified by TENAA a few days back, which is the Meizu M2 Metal. This device is believed to be successor to the Meizu M1 Metal, which was announced last month. Meizu has scheduled the event on June 13, where this device is expected to be launched.

According to the information that surfaced on TENAA, this smartphone will sport a 5.5-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) display, and will ship in both 2GB and 3GB RAM variants. The 2GB RAM model of the phone will come with 16GB of native storage, while the 3GB RAM variant will ship with 32GB of internal storage.The 13-megapixel rear shooter camera and 5MP front facing camera along with a 4,000 mAh battery is expected to be featured in this smartphone.

TENAA’s listing claims that the device will come with Android 5.1 Lollipop-based Flyme OS. The Meizu M2 Metal will measure 153.6 x 75.6 x 8.3mm and weigh 166 grams. Coming to the price, the 16GB version is expected to be priced at CNY 1,099 ($166.77) and the 32GB version is expected to be priced at CNY 1,299 ($197.20).
