Verizon’s Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 starts receiving Android 6.0 Marshmallow update

Verizon’s Samsung Galaxy S5 got its Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update yesterday, and now its time for Galaxy Tab S2 to get the latest Android. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 has started receiving Android 6.0 Marshmallow OTA update on Verizon’s network.

The new software version is MMB29K.T817VVRU2BPE1, and it brings Android Marshmallow. The new software brings new features such as Doze Mode, App Standby, new app permissions system, and Google Now On Tap. Samsung has also made changes to its TouchWiz UI, which is now smoother and cleaner, and you’ll also find new animations. There are improvements to the native email client and drawing in the Memo app.

You can check the full changelog with all features here. As it is the over-the-air (OTA) rollout of the update, so it may be a few days before it reaches all the Galaxy Tab S2 units sold by Verizon. It will most probably roll out in stages. so don’t freak out if your device didn’t get the notification update yet.
