OnLive makes its way to Android with LA Noire and 200 other titles

OnLive for Android

OnLive, a PC on-demand game service, has launched for Android allowing its subscribers to play some rather amazing games on their tablets and phones. OnLive’s cloud-based streaming service renders games with intense graphics and optimizes them to be streamed to and played on mobile devices.

One of Rockstar Games’ most recent smash-hits was just added to the roster of OnLive games as well — LA Noire, which features stunning graphics and on-screen controls that will take advantage of Android-centric features like the accelerometor.

In total, OnLive’s portfolio of games contains almost 200 titles, 25 of which feature touchscreen controls, while the rest will be playable via a wireless controller.

While the report says the service has already launched, I haven’t been able to locate the app in the Android Market yet. I’ll keep looking, and I’ll update this post with a link when I track one down. This service looks to be one that could be promising, but I’ll have to preserve judgement until I can try it for myself.

Stay Tuned!
