If the only thing stopping you buying an OUYA is the fact that there is no white option, you might not have a reason not to soon. OUYA has today posted the above picture to its Twitter account saying only “Get ready for it…” presumably hinting that the release of this white OUYA will be in the near future.

The OUYA Android game console has had quite a tumultuous couple of months as it struggled to meet its expected deadlines and fulfill its obligations to the backers who got their Kickstarter campaign off the ground. While news surrounding the console has quietened down recently (no news is good news, right?), we can’t help but feel that the device sporting a Tegra 3 processor is starting to look quite dated compared to some of its Android gaming competition despite its growing library of supported games and its winning price point of $99.
All the same, if you were hoping for a more stylish, white OUYA, you won’t have long to wait. No word on whether this new version will carry a different price tag, but we’ll let you know as soon as we know.
