Rogers releases ICS device update list and Timeline

There are a lot of people out there still sitting idly by waiting for their update from the bland old Gingerbread to the new and improved Ice Cream Sandwich. Of course that update is welcomed, but a bit irritating since Google has moved on to Jelly Bean already. But none the less, an update to something newer is better than no update at all. Canadian carrier Rogers has been a little more tight-lipped then most when it came to any time lines or specific devices that would see an ICS update. We would assume it was to avoid any backlash if a device hit the list and then no update was issued. Well, they have finally gotten around to offering up at least a device list and at least 2-week period on when that device should be updated. One is coming now, and five more hitting early September. Check it out.

  • HTC Raider – Ice Cream Sandwich (4.0) – Now available
  • HTC EVO 3D – Ice Cream Sandwich (4.0) – Now available
  • Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 – Ice Cream Sandwich (4.0) – Early September
  • Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 – Ice Cream Sandwich (4.0) – Early September
  • Samsung Galaxy Note – Ice Cream Sandwich (4.0) – Now available
  • Sony Xperia Arc S (LT18a) – Ice Cream Sandwich (4.0) – Early September
  • Sony Xperia Arc (LT15a) – Ice Cream Sandwich (4.0) – Early September
  • Sony Xperia Mini Pro (SK17a) – Ice Cream Sandwich (4.0) – Early September
  • Motorola Razr (XT910) – Ice Cream Sandwich (4.0) – Late August

Not to shabby Rogers. Lets hope they can nail those time lines and those users finally get a dose of the icy goodness they have been waiting on FOREVER.
