Sprint’s Samsung Galaxy S5 Android 4.4.4 update rolling out Now

A new update is on its way out to current Samsung Galaxy S5 owners on Sprint’s network. The update will move your device to Android 4.4.4. While not everyone will see it immediately, users should pick it up over the next few days. The update officially carries baseband version G900PVPU1ANK4.

Sprint outlines the most notable addition found in the update as being an HD Voice Icon, International Wi-Fi Calling Support and some pretty important Google Security Patches. With the holidays fast approaching gaining that international Wi-Fi calling ability could come in handy for a number of you guys. The update is headed out to devices in a typical staged roll-out fashion. You will want to make sure you have well over 50% charge to your battery and a solid Wi-Fi connection plus some time to download and install the update. If you don’t see the prompt in your devices notification bar you can try to ping for it by going to Settings > System Update > Update Now. It is never a guarantee, but never hurts to try, right?
