T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S6 sales are nearly double that of Galaxy S5 sales in the first 10 days

It’s undeniable that Samsung has created one of the best phones of 2015 in the Galaxy S6. While it’s broadly expected to help Samsung claw back some of its lost market share and profits, it’s making a clear difference early in its life too. T-Mobile is reporting that in the first 10 days of availability, the T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S6 has nearly sold double the number of handsets compared to the number Galaxy S5‘s sold in the same period of time last year – and the Galaxy S5 was T-Mo’s best selling Galaxy phone to date.

While that’s just another feather in Samsung’s cap – one which should just get bigger as the device is launched in T-Mo stores – they shouldn’t get too comfortable at the wheel as HTC One M9 sales are similarly up, not quite as drastically, but enough to match and exceed what was achieved by the HTC One M8. It’s actually one of the more exciting starts to the year from the two age-old arch-rivals, and we’ll be interested to hear what Samsung and HTC say in their next quarterly financial reports.
