Transparent Power Control widgets MOD for various Galaxy S Devices

The Samsung Galaxy S still is far from a dead device. While many people have since moved on to a Galaxy S II or other device, some of us remain on our two+ years old devices. If you are in the same boat as i am, then i am sure you have flashed various Ice Cream Sandwich builds by now. There are a surprising number of them available and lately, they work to near perfection. As long as developers are making ROM’s there will be a constant supply of mods released by others.

A new mod has just emerged over at RootzWiki courtesy of mr_psycho. With the help of the community as a whole, he has created a series of flashable transparent power control widgets for various Galaxy S ICS builds. There are 7 total supported ROMs’ that are confirmed to function without a hitch.

  • Ice Cream Zenwich RC1.4 “Dust”
  • Ice Cream Zenwich RC1.4
  • Ice Cream Zenwich RC1.3
  • CM9 Build 16
  • CM9 Build 17
  • ICSSGS RC4.1/4.2
  • Passion V13

Each ROM has a range of choices. You can pick up stock/25%/50%/75%/100% transparency.

* CM9 and ICSSGS (Onecosmic) mods should work on all phone platforms (i9000, Vibrant, etc). Even if you run an odexed rom, battery mods should work just fine, as the mod will deodex your SystemUI only. Other APKs will remain odexed

As with any modification that requires you to flash a file to your device, there is some risk involved. You do this at your own risk. A backup is recommended before moving forward. If you are running one of the mentioned ROM’s or just feel like taking a risk on this fine Tuesday afternoon, direct yourself over to mr_psyco’s thread to pickup the file or files of your choice.
