Air Display turns your tablet into a second Monitor

Having a tablet can make your overall life increasingly more productive and entertaining. Many people have even begun using their tablets more than their laptops or even desktop PC’s. Developers keep moving forward and create new uses for your $500 something tablet, like accessing your PC remotely to watch movies and play games. For many, this is more than enough functionality. What if you could take it a step further though? Why only access your PC screen or files?

That is where a few app developers and companies saw more potential. One in particular, Avatron Software, put out an application called Air Display. With this application you can turn your tablet into a second, or even third, display for your laptop/desktop PC. Connecting to your computer via your local Wi-Fi network and giving you more screen real estate without having to buy another regular monitor. The application goes beyond just being another screen though. With Android being a touch based system, anything yo place on the tablet is able to be interacted with via your mouse or your finger. Giving you touch controls of apps can be a pretty amazing benefit all by its self. Check out a little demo of the application below from Andronica so you can see it in action. He does go through the set up of the application for Mac as well.

Air Display is compatible with both Mac and Windows-based PC’s. There are a few PC requirements available in the app description that you may want to check out before you purchase the app.

Having a dual monitor set up already I am good to go, but those of you still running your life on one screen might be surprised how beneficial it is to have two up and running. I can only imagine how helpful this could be for those of you that live on laptops. If you have been looking for more function and use for your tablet, this could be the next step for you. Head into the Play Store and give it a go. let us know how it works out for you.
