How Does A Moto X For $100 On-Contract Sound? Evleaks Says It’s Going To Happen By Q4 2013

moto xThe Moto X went on sale this month to varying degrees of approval; in particular, a lot of the displeasure surrounding the first phone from Motorola and Google stemmed from the feeling that it is too expensive, both on- and off-contract. Well, if king of leaks, evleaks, has anything to say about it, the Moto X is going to have $100 wiped from the on-contract price, down from its original price of $199.

If the phone wasn’t already attractive with its new, innovative features, then that price cut might just do it. Better yet is evleaks reports this price cut will be occuring in Q4, just in time to fill some Christmas stockings. In that same leak tweet (funny how much you can fit in 140 characters), evleaks also suggests that the wooden covers that were promised as customizations for the Moto X will be arriving in Q4 as well at $50 a pop, accompanied by the picture you can see above.

It would be nice if this price cut is true, but also if it applies to the off-contract price of the Moto X, particularly as the developer edition is still inbound. If you can hold out getting a Moto X till Q4, it sounds like it might be worth the wait. Does this price cut make the Moto X any more attractive? Let us know if it does in the comments.
