Random Reboots, Low Quality. Cheesy Is My Take on the Atrix.

Alright hold a second, these aren’t my views. Since I haven’t played with the Motorola Atrix – nor do I know anyone that owns one currently – I can’t really say anything negative or positive regarding the device. About all I can say is that it looks good on paper. The statement in the title was made by a user that remains anonymous – even to us (haha) – and I was curious to see if anyone else felt that way. I haven’t really heard or seen too many issues with the device. So for the sake of curiosity:  Do you have any issues or complaints regarding the Motorola Atrix?

Original Comment (I’ll throw in the Xoom comment for the effect):

Random reboots, low quality. Cheesy is my take on the Atrix.

Motorola had two easy home runs and missed the boat on both due to overpricing and quality control.

The Atrix is an awesome concept. Quality control on it is not the best. The phone doesn’t fit properly in the media dock. It will reboot if it looses 3G or if you switch too much between regular mode and the PC emulation mode. And Motorola expects you to lay down 1200 smackers for a full set and thats with an expensive data plan. ITS NOT WORTH 1/10th because of the low quality observed. Like Samsung with the Vibrant and the Galaxy S 4G on T Mobile. They missed the boat. But Motorola did worse, it offers and awful phone with high end specs and cheesy experience and an outrageous price.

Xoom is a nice tablet, a bit heavy that needs to make a name for its self. Its tremendously overpriced. Before you sow you must water your fields. And Motorola does not understand this. They are well remembered for the POOR QUALITY of their old RAZOR line, which slightly improved with the Droid brand (not much really, most one year old Droids are ready to hit the dust). LG Slate will most likely blow the Xoom out of the market. Specially if LG is smart to price their units below iPad2.

Before you can charge for your name, you must offer quality. Apple (which I dont like for many reasons) offers quality and very nice experience. Until Motorola can provide a similar experience, currently their quality is below Chinese and Indian brands.

[Look forward to a couple more controversial articles today. It seems the weekend was full of these types of comments. =)]
