Sprint rolling out Android 5.0 to Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Note Edge

The last few weeks have been pretty big for carriers here in the US. Seems every time I turn around Android 5.0 Lollipop updates are heading to one device or another. It is a nice thing to see when compared to previous updates where we could only HOPE that an update would even be considered. Today a new set of updates have started on the Now Network for the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and Samsung Galaxy Note Edge. The update pushes both devices to Android 5.0 Lollipop.

If you are sporting a Galaxy Note 3 on Sprint you will be on the look out for firmware version N900PVPUEOC5. Sprint doesn’t make mention of any additional features, function or changes beyond that the update will bring you Android 5.0 Lollipop.

As for those of you with the Galaxy Note Edge you will be looking for firmware version N915PVPU0AOC8. Sprint makes note that it will bring in Wi-Fi calling enhancements and factory reset protection.

Both updates have begun rolling out, but will be going in waves. Feel free to head into Settings > General > System Update > Update Now. You will want well over 50% battery life, a solid Wi-Fi connection and some time to kill for it to download and properly install.
